Procession & Graveside Instructions

Due to the overwhelming outpouring of support for Daniel and the small size of the cemetery, the graveside service will be limited to family, friends, special guests and Tahoe National Forest employees only. As the procession reaches the cemetery and the family turns in, we are requesting the procession continues to the House of Bread Church to begin set up for the Cordon of Honor. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

All funeral procession vehicles and apparatus will meet at 8:00 a.m. Saturday April, 6th at Yuba College, Marysville Campus at:

2088 North Beale Road Marysville, CA 95901

Once the procession has reached the cemetery, vehicles and apparatus participating in the Cordon of Honor, will continue on to the Memorial venue:

Wildland Firefighter Prayer

Lord, as we take the challenge of wildland fire,

To protect our communities from situations dire.

We accept the outcome be what it may,

For our efforts are valiant, every day.

We staff the engines, aircraft and crew,

And our honest work is always true.

Give us safety and a watchful eye,

Help us see the success of our try.

Watch our crews and closest friends,

And let us reach a good day’s end.

Should we fall, Lord bless our family,

Let them know our love eternally.

For though we know the work is hard,

We do it not for public reward.

Our love of home is always there,

This is why my family is here.
